What We're About

The Frankel Commercialization Fund (FCF) is a pre-seed investment fund established to identify and accelerate the commercialization of ideas generated within the University community and the surrounding area.

Our Portfolio

Frankel Fellows take a hands-on approach to investing that leverages the talents and resources available at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan to make a real impact for the entrepreneur and the University. The fund has now made six investments spanning healthcare, cleantech, technology, and consumer companies.

Investing Team

Frankel Fund Fellows are graduate students at the University of Michigan with a variety of backgrounds and skill-sets, but who share a passion for start-ups.

Advisors

The Frankel Fund is directed by a board of advisors who are selected based on their in depth industry experience, experience founding and growing early stage companies, and or experience investing in early stage companies. The advisors serve as strategic advisors to the Frankel Fund as a whole and, based on the background of the advisor, as an advisor to one of the four Frankel Fund Teams.
